Janice Sellers

Many historical Jewish newspapers are now available online, with more being added regularly, Janice says. Most are on free sites. Her presentation will give an overview of what is online and where it is, suggest access strategies, discuss what to do if you don’t read Hebrew or Yiddish, and show sample search results.
--------------------------------

Janice M. Sellers is related to actor Peter Sellers and to John of Gaunt, son of a king and father of a king.  At least that’s what her grandparents told her.

Unfortunately, they were both wrong, but that’s why she has been researching her family for more than 45 years and is now a professional genealogist who is passionate about making sure she finds the right pieces to fit your genealogical puzzle.  She specializes in Jewish, Black, dual citizenship, and newspaper research and has taught at local to international events.  She previously worked in publishing as an editor and indexer and currently edits one genealogy journal.  Her site is ancestraldiscoveries.com.
